Chow mein noodles
Ingredients
- onion | 1
- chives | 5
- noodles | for 2
- bean sprout | some
- soy sauce | 2 Tsp
- dark soy sauce | 1 Tsp
- sesame oil | 1 tsp
- sugar | 1 tsp
- white pepper | 1 tsp
- shaoxing rice wine | 1 tsp
Steps
Rinse the sprouts.
Julienne the chives.
Slice the onion.
Prepare the sauce.
Boil the noodle and rinsed them once cooked.
In a hot pan cook the onion and half of the chives (the white part).
Once cooked, set aside.
In the same pan, throw the noodles and let their bottom layer become crispy.
Flip them over, toss in the onions and chives. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add the bean sprouts and the rest of the chives.
Pour in the sauce and toss.
Notes
- its ok add any other veggies to the recipe, cook them when cooking the onions.
- the shaoxing wine can be replaced with some oyster sauce.
- add some garlic as well
Variation
- shitake mushrooms + sweet potatoes (julienne the potatoes and cook them first) + coriander
- with ground beef or pork. Marinate the meat first with 1 tsp of soy sauce, 1/2 tsp shaoxin wine, 1/2 tsp oil, 1/4 tsp sugar, 1/4 tsp cornstarsh. Marinate for at least 15mn.
