Ginger tonic
Ingredients
- ginger | 200g
- lemon zest | 5 wide strips
- lemon juice | 250ml
- honey | 80g
- cayenne pepper | 1 tsp
- turmeric | 1 tsp
- water | 120g
Steps
Peel the ginger and roughly chop it.
Throw in a pot the ginger, the lemon juice, the lemon zest, the honey, the salt, the pepper, the turmeric and the water.
Port it to boil.
Then reduce the fire and let it reduce until the mixture has darken in color. This should take 30 to 40 minutes.
Strain the tonic and store it in a pot.
