Peel the potatoes and slice them using a slicer, 
Preheat the oven at 180.
Pour the milk and cream in a pot. Throw in the herbs and crushed garlic. 
Let it infuse under low fire.
Cut the garlic in two and rub the bottom of the dish with it.
Do the same with the butter.
Layer the potatoes in the dish. 
For each layer, start by sprinkling some salt, pepper and muscat nut. Then place the potatoes.
Once all the layers have been mounted, pour the milk and the cream all over the dish.
Cook for 1 hour. Sprinkle some gratted cheese for the last 10 minutes of cooking.
