Panna Cotta
Ingredients
- milk | 10cl
- cream | 50cl
- vanilla pod | 1
- sugar | 100g
- gelatine sheets | 10g
Steps
Put the gelatine sheets in cold water to soften them.
In a pot, eat up the milk without boiling it.
When the milk is hot, squeeze the gelatine sheets and add them to the milk. Mix well until they are fully dissolved.
In another pot, warm up the cream with the sugar and the vanilla pod. Make it boils while mixing continuously.
Turn off the fire and add the milk. Mix well.
Take out the vanilla pod and transfer the mix to small ramekins and place them in the fridge for at least 4 hours
Notes
- 10g of gelatine might be too much. Next time will try with 7g.
- the gelatine can be replace with agar-agar. Add 3g in the milk.
- the gelatine can be replaced with 4 egg whites. Mix them without foaming them and add them to the cream mix. No milk needed in this case.
- also possible to do it without gelatine at all. Need to experiment.
