Quiche lorraine
Ingredients
- puff pastry | 1
- bacon | 200g
- egg | 4
- creme fraiche | 20cl
- milk | 20cl
- muscat nut | 1 pinch
Steps
Preheat the oven at 180.
Prepare the dough by laying it in a dish pie crust and poke holes into it with a fork.
Cook the bacon in a pan.
Remove the excess fat and reserve.
In a bowl, mix the eggs, the cream and the milk together.
Add pepper and muscat nut.
Add the bacon.
Pour the mix in the dish pie crust.
Cook for 45 to 50 minutes at 180.
Notes
- add some cheese and shallots to the mix for a richer pie.
- it is cooked when the custard has set. Might want to wait a bit before serving.
- do not cook at too high temperature to prevent the eggs from scrambling.
